Job Vacancy: Project Manager

Reporting directly to the Operations Director the role is to manage a portfolio of procured contracts to ensure delivery is in line with financial and timescale requirements which overall enables the Company to fulfil its business objectives.

To be responsible from the inception to final completion for the delivery, management and monitoring of contracts as per the clients’ requirements

To ensure programme delivery is adhered to and projects run to budget and timescales through effective management and planning of labour, materials, Health & safety matters, submission of technical submittals and identification and reporting of delays timeously

To ensure all information relevant to projects are managed as per the Contract Management System requirements, including project programme, TSDR and associated documents and project specific RAMS

To take responsibility for monitoring, controlling and reporting on individual projects to agree timescales and standards and ensure that continuous improvement activities are conducted in line with contractors’ requirements to ensure that corrective and action plans are implemented as required

To carry out site checks to ensure all works being carried out are as per the contract requirements in accordance with the specification, associated drawings and the quality of work

To ensure all additional works/variations are recorded and information relayed back to the project Quantity Surveyor

To communicate effectively with the wider McKenna Group team through attendance at progress meetings, preparation of relevant documentation, providing support to key staff on site, attendance and participation at team meetings, contributing to the wider values and objectives of the business

To communicate effectively and timeously will key external stakeholders & contractors To ensure apprentices are supported, monitored and developed in line with training requirements

To ensure processes, standards and deadlines are maintained at all times

Key performance Indicators

  • Value of labour/material used versus tender amount (equal to or less than tender amount) – monthly & YTD
  • All labour budgets forecast for each project & submitted to Commercial Director – weekly
  • All projects running to schedule – monthly & YTD
